G.P. Schmahl

Expedition Role: G.P. Schmahl is the Superintendent of the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. During the expedition, he will study some of the corals, sponges, and other creatures that live in the deep-water zones of the banks. He will also help to explore the areas between the banks. He would like to use what he learned to better manage and protect all of the creatures that live in the sanctuary.
